How to update your personal information (#2654)
The process you need to follow to update your personal contact information depends upon your status at the university.
For VCU students
To update your name and address, please fill out the Personal Update Form [PDF] and send it to University Records and Registration.
For VCU employees
- To update your name, title or department, please contact your department’s Human Resource personnel administrator.
- To update your address or phone number, you may either contact your department's Human Resource personnel administrator or you can easily change it through Banner Self-Service (the same Web site for pay and leave information).
To access Banner, log in to the myVCU portal and click on the "eServices/VCU Self Service" link in the Resources gadget. Once in Banner, click on the Personal Information tab then on "Update Addresses and Phones". Within this section, make sure to change your data on both the Campus Box Address and the Work Address.
This change will ensure that your correct contact information is displayed in the "People Search" on the VCU home page as well as other directory databases. Please note that it will take a day or two for all subsidiary databases to be updated once the new information is entered into Banner.
For VCU Health System employees
To update your name, title, department, address or phone number, please call VCU Health System Transactions at (804) 628-0050 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
