Overview of OriginPro

Origin 8 provides a data analysis and graphing workspace for scientists and engineers. New features include multi-sheet workbooks with sparklines, expanded import capabilities, SQL queries, automatic recalculation of analysis results and new graph types.  OriginPro 8 offers all of the features of Origin plus extended analysis tools for statistics, 3D fitting, image processing and signal processing.

OriginPro 8, is available to current VCU students, faculty and staff on the App2Go Server.

OriginPro License Information

Five (5) concurrent use licenses for OriginPro 8 are available on the App2Go Server.

Use OriginPro on the App2Go Server

Using a Windows, Mac or Linux computer, you are able to access OriginPro via a browser window. Although OriginPro runs on the App2Go Server, it appears to be running on your PC. You can open, save and print files from your PC. Applications on the App2Go server are available to support research projects and are not intended for instructional use.

Current VCU faculty, staff and students may request an App2Go account to access OriginPro on the App2Go Server for research. Documentation on how to use of the App2Go Server will provide you details such as system requirements, installation, opening files, saving files and printing.
