SAS® Enterprise Miner and SAS® Text Miner for Windows Desktops are licensed for VCU Teaching and Research Use for current VCU faculty, staff and students. 

SAS® Text Miner is a component of SAS® Enterprise Miner.  To use it, both SAS® and SAS® Enterprise Miner must be installed on the same machine.

Enterprise Miner 12.1 Desktop for Windows Workstation with Text Miner 12.1 is included on the SAS 9.3 M2 for Windows flash drive. 

To install Enterprise Miner 12.1 Desktop for Windows Workstation with Text Miner 12.1:

1. Obtain SAS 9.3 TS1M2 for Windows flash drive installing SAS 9.3 M2 for Windows
2. Follow the SAS 93 M2 for Windows installation instructions
   On the "Select SAS Products to Install" screen  (see page 3)
   
   1. Select check-box for SAS Foundation
   2. Select check-box for SAS Enterprise Miner Workstation Configuration
   3. Select check-box for SAS Text Miner Workstation Configuration

To run Enterprise Miner 12.1 Desktop for Windows Workstation with Text Miner 12.1:
     Select Start, All Programs, SAS, Enterprise Miner Workstation 12.1
     For SAS Text Miner node info, Select Help, Contents.  Then search for "Text Miner"
