Teleconference Services

MSS assists VCU faculty and staff in the reception and taping of satellite teleconferences. We are able to receive either C-Band or KU-Band transmissions using the Satellite Teleport atop Cabell Library on the Academic Campus and/or satellite dishes atop Sanger Hall on the MCV Campus.

Once received, signals can be routed to any reception point on our University-wide closed circuit television distribution system (CCTV). This includes many University classrooms and various other sites on both campuses. Please contact MSS for a complete list of locations with CCTV.

Satellite downlinks are provided for a nominal fee of $10 per program, per day.

Requesting A Teleconference

University personnel who wish to arrange a teleconference are encouraged to contact MSS staff as far in advance as possible. When you call, you'll need to answer a few basic questions about the event and your needs. For more details, see "How to Request a Teleconference."
