Classroom Support

Many VCU classrooms are equipped with overhead projectors, televisions, DVD players, data and video projectors, computer network connections and centralized remote control systems.

MSS maintains the equipment located in general-purpose classrooms (those made available for use by all departments). Classrooms that are used exclusively by one department will be serviced by that department.

Technology Services has introduced a new service to provide increased support for faculty in the classroom. The Tech Squad has been established to roam the academic buildings in search of faculty to assist in the use of classroom technology. Tech Squad members will be checking in on the centrally scheduled classrooms to see if their assistance is needed. If you find you need help just call (804) 828-1098 and a Tech Squad member will be dispatched to you room. Most academic buildings have at least one Tech Squad member assigned to support the centrally scheduled classrooms. If you are using a classroom that is not centrally scheduled please contact your department's support personnel for assistance. We'll see you in class!
