Web Content Management
OpenText Management Server (formerly RedDot CMS) is VCU's official web content management system.
OpenText content management server provide the following features:
- allows non-technical users to easily update content
- provides area for administrator to build secure global templates for reuse throughout their site
- features an Asset Manager to organize and maintain images and non-HTML files (pdfs, xls, etc.)
- archives pages
- allows users to refer back to old versions of their webpages and assets
- allows administrator to establish a workflow production, person A can edit, then send to person B to approve and publish
- allows permissions to be set so that editors can only update their section's content
