How do I get an account on the VCU Blog?

To create an account on the VCU Blog, simply log in using your VCU eID and password. From the VCU Blog homepage, click on the Login button at the top right. Enter your VCU eID and password, and you're in the system.

You will automatically have a personal blog once you have created your account. Its default title will be your eID and the URL for your blog will be http://blog.vcu.edu/youreid/ (where youreid would be your VCU eID).

Is there a public list of the other blogs published on the VCU Blog?

Not yet. We are working on building a public directory that will be opt-in for other users to share their blogs with the VCU community. We will let you know when this is available from the VCU Blog homepage.

Will you design templates for my blog?

Unfortunately, we do not have the staff to provide template design services for the VCU Blogs. If you are comfortable with HTML and CSS, you can try your hand at designing your own templates. There are many unique pre-built styles under the Design > Styles menu. If you are looking to have customized templates but do not have the expertise to create them yourself, you may want to consider submitting a request to Creative Services for a fee.
