What is the Blackboard Content Management System? (#2106)
The Blackboard Content Management System (CMS) is an interface within Blackboard that provides easy storage, sharing, and access to your files and other data. Files can be uploaded, downloaded, copied, moved, and deleted within your Content Collection area. You can even add internet links (URLs) to your Content Collection. Your files can be organized with the use of folders, similar to the file system on your computer. You can share files with other users by setting up the appropriate permissions. You can access your files from any computer that is connected to the internet.
Multiple files and/or folders can be uploaded and downloaded in a packaged (zipped) format rather than one-by-one. Another feature available in the CMS is Web Folders, which allows files to be easily transferred to/from the CMS as if it were a networked drive. Go here for more information about using Web Folders: Upload Multiple Files into the Content System.
