Upload Multiple Files into the Content System (#1202)
Multiple files and folders may be uploaded into the Content Management System (CMS) with the use of Web Folders, a Web application using WebDAV technology (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning, an IETF standard). Web Folders function as an interface between your desktop operating system and the Content System to upload multiple files.
To use Web Folders to upload multiple files:
Step 1 - Open Blackboard and click the Content System tab.
Step 2 - Click on the Web Folder icon located on the actions toolbar.

Step 3 - Open Windows Explorer to locate the files you wish to upload. Minimize the size of the Windows Explorer screen so that the Web Folder window is also visible.
Step 4 - Select the desired folders and files that you wish to upload into CMS.
Tip: If selecting multiple files, hold down the Ctrl button and click on each file.

Step 5 - Click once on the selected files, hold down the mouse button, and drag the files to the Web Folder screen. Release the mouse button to drop the files into the Web Folder. The files and folders dragged to the Web Folder will now appear in My Content area of the CMS.

Note: If you experience a 405 Error opening the Web Folder, go to Microsoft.com to run Windows Update on your computer. Microsoft has provided a fix for the problem in the latest Windows Update. If you are using a public computer, click on Web Folder a second time. The second click will open Web Folder and will place it on your Start task bar. Click the application on the task bar to open the Web Folder screen.
