The central working objective for the Desktop Computing team is to provide efficient and effective customer service in using desktop productivity tools for university faculty, staff and students.  Our services include:

  • Consultation regarding hardware, software, or peripheral purchases for Windows and Apple platforms;
  • Software installation;
  • Network setup for PCs and printers;
  • Operating system maintenance and security;
  • Virus protection;
  • Coordination of other computing services with other VCU IT departments and third-party software or hardware vendors.

TS/DC uses the LANDesk Management Suite for desktop asset management, software patch management and remote troubleshooting. Visit https://landesk.vcu.edu/ for more information.
