HTML Tools

HTML tools are used to create the HTML page that displays in your user's browser. These tools are broken down into three categories. Text editors are the basic word processing programs that will save HTML code you create in a plain text format. WYSIWYG editors allow you to create HTML pages in a visual environment where you can view images, navigation, and content as it will appear in a web browser. The final group of tools, designed for web development, allow you to incorporate complex server-side programming into your site. The needs of most web designers are completely met by a WYSIWYG editor.

An overview of some popular HTML software is listed on the software page. Many more products are commercially available. The Help Desk does not necessarily support all of the products listed here. A listing of supported software is available on the Help Desk site.

Supported software is listed on the AT website
