Computer Repair

Computer repairs, upgrades and warranty service are handled differently for Academic and Administrative users.

Administrative users in the President's Office and Finance and Administration, External Relations, Advancement and Research divisions should contact Technology Services, Client Services for computer repair, upgrade or warranty service.

Academic users may contact any vendor they choose. However, VCU now offers complete repair, warranty and upgrade services for students, faculty, and staff at an educational discount. Online@VCU Technology Service Center provides on-site visits and rapid response requests and offers the University an on-site location for quick and convenient carry-in service.

New to VCU for 2007, G2G Mobile@VCU repairs all makes and models of Lenovo desktops and Thinkpad laptops and tablets. As an authorized on campus warranty center, service is done in house by certified technicians. Work turn around is typically within two days. Students who have purchased from the G2G program enjoy a standard four year warranty and are entitled to a free loaner for repairs that are delayed due to parts availability.
