Customized Installation for VCU Please take time to read the informaton below before installing this software.

Note: In order to get the full version you will need to complete this free registration. You are only allowed to use this program while you are attending or working at VCU. Otherwise you can purchase a license for $25.
Who needs this program: This program will be useful for people who need to move files between their UNIX account and their PC. For example, those who maintain web pages, who want to move a subset of data in their UNIX account to their PC for analysis, or who need to send a Word document as an attachment to a Pine mail message could use WS-FTP.
Download/Installation:
- Click on the Apple logo above to download the self-extracting archive file to the desktop.
- Double-click on the archive file.
- A Fetch icon will be created on your desktop.
- Double click on the Fetch icon to start the program. Click on OK and follow configuration notes below to complete the installation.
- After installation, you may delete the downloaded archive file to save disk space.
Configuration:
- Choose Preferences from the Customize menu. Under General, enter your e-mail address (to be used for anonymous logins) in the default password field.
- The remainder of the options may be left as the defaults which are set up when the application is installed.
- Within the Fetch folder you will find a folder called Bookmarks. These are sites on the Internet that you can explore.
