The mission of VCUnet is to ensure the University's students, faculty, and administration have efficient, cost effective, and reliable telephony and data communications services. Through financial and technological planning, VCUnet will provide the pathway for deployment of future voice and data infrastructures and devices. VCUnet is responsible for designing, planning and implementing all data and telecommunications equipment and wiring throughout the University and providing senior level consulting for communications technologies throughout the University.
This group is responsible for servers & storage, operating systems, directory services, the VCU voice and data network, database administration, operations, and security.
